Family Liaisons in Schools
APS's Family Engagement builds school and community-based networks to engage families to support children's learning. We believe in creating safe, welcoming learning environments at school and at home. As partners, we can better develop and strengthen school connections with families. We are also committed to working with community partners to assist families and create opportunities for student success.

Family Programs
Family Programs are school- and community-based initiatives designed to bring families together to share information and ideas that help us build a strong relationship between our families, our school and our community to improve our child’s education.
Family Liaisons
Family liaisons are APS employees who help build cooperative working relations between families and school personnel. Liaisons empower families to stay informed about their children’s education, work with the school to accommodate unique needs, learn about policies, and more.
United Way of Summit & Medina Family Resource Centers
Family Resource Centers are designed to help families and students address non-academic challenges, which may impact a student’s ability to learn. Owned and operated by United Way of Summit & Medina, their sites are conveniently located inside APS buildings to provide families, students and community members with connections to health and social services, community resources, referrals and more.
