Become  an APS School Volunteer
ALL interested school volunteers should contact the school for volunteer opportunities specific to that school community.  To locate school building contact, please click here.  Please visit our website to learn more about volunteer opportunities in our district.
Corporate and Community partners may be connected to district contacts for more specific guidance related to your program connection.

Volunteer Registration
ALL school volunteers are required to complete a form (select from green drop-down below).   This document is automatically sent to your selected school building principal and office staff.  A separate form must be completed for each school of interest.
Volunteers will receive an email notice confirming receipt of the completed form.

                 



 Security Checks

All volunteers are subject to a background check process used by the Akron Public School District.  School personnel will request a copy of your Ohio driver's license and/or state I.D. for this purpose.

Individuals serving in the following programs are required to get a background check, prior to the start of service. Please contact the persons below for more information.

There are many levels of corporate and community partnerships supporting volunteer service in our schools.  Corporate and community volunteer coordinators should contact the department contacts below for guidance and support in developing ongoing relationships with our schools.
