We Love Science -- Technology, Engineering and Math, Too

Akron Public Schools will host the 62nd annual Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Expo on Saturday, Jan. 27, at North High School, 985 Gorge Blvd.

Approximately 500 students will participate in the event, which includes more than 20 interactive booths, the Miller South Walking Museum, the annual bridge-building competition, and the district-wide "The Big Race: Zipping to STEM" 3D car race, held in partnership with The University of Akron and the Soap Box Derby.

Comedian and entertainer Robert Post, creator of the program "How to Survive Middle School," will serve as guest speaker for the event.

Fingerprint Analysis: Increased Similarities Between Siblings?

Judges will view the students' projects from 8:15-8:45 a.m. Community members may view projects from noon-1:30 p.m. An awards ceremony will take place at 2 p.m. in the auditorium.
