Board's Acceptance of Donations
The following donations have been received and will be used to support and enhance the academic program:
- $200 from Alita & Richard Rogers to Resnik CLC, in memory of Elizabeth Dalton, to be used for supplies for Drama Club, Student Council and the student-run newspaper
- $800 from Daniel Shaffer, Old School Warehouse LLC, to be used as the district determines
- $1,147 from Benjamin Schrader, Hilton Garden Inn Akron, to Robinson CLC for Grades K-2 – gardening, field trip, speakers and luncheon
- $1,200 from Children and Books to Firestone Park Elementary School to purchase children’s books for the school
- 30 bags of non-perishables from Meri Hillenbrand to Harris-Jackson CLC to start up a pantry for families in need
- 30 cases hand sanitizing wipes, 3 boxes assorted school supplies, 625 backpacks with school supplies from United Way to Harris-Jackson CLC – sanitizing wipes/supplies for staff and students; backpacks with school supplies for every student; extras for future needs – valued at $9,730
- 2 Electricity STG-Youth presentations for Grade 4 classrooms donated by the Cleveland Museum of Natural History to Sam Salem CLC to support the science curriculum and Common Core State Standards – valued at $320
