The Akron School Board honored Judith White, a 50-year veteran teacher at Firestone High School and Firestone CLC who has decided to retire.
White was named an employee emeritus of the district after 22 years teaching in the International Baccalaureate program at Firestone and being on the staff there since starting her career with Akron Public Schools in 1969.
