Army reservist Benjamin Beswetherick (Ellet High School graduate) is in the Army Reserves and stationed in Afghanistan. His mom, third-grade teacher at Resnik CLC, Pam Beswetherick, has had her class writing Ben letters and sending coloring pages to him and his office since the school year began.

For the holidays, Pam's class wanted to do something special for her son and so decided to write an invitation and create an announcement asking Resnik teachers and students to make decorations to send to the troops. The class had a tremendous response, receiving letters, cards and myriad holiday decorations to send.

Pam tells us they ended up with a good-sized box of gifts to send to Ben and a box to send to the rest of his detachment that is stationed in Kuwait. American soldiers, we are told, were thrilled to receive all of the heartwarming greetings from the students at Resnik CLC. Merry Christmas from APS!
