This young man has made tremendous strides in his life on and off the mound. Not only has he assumed the role of captain of the team, he keeps himself and his teammates constantly motivated. His natural leadership means he knows and communicates to the rest of his men what they need to do and where they need to be. He is also the coach's right-hand man—helping Coach Shaheen however he can. The skills that Carlos has developed during his high school career will no doubt greatly help him when he enlists in the U.S. Army right after graduation.
