Congratulations to Buchtel CLC Sports Medicine & Health Care Professions teacher Kristin Clites and her students who worked alongside the school's named partner, Summa Health, to offer sports physicals for more than 70 Buchtel student athletes.
During the event, the pathway students were responsible for organizing the event, taking height, weight and pulse rates. Summa Health provided six physicians, six athletic trainers and three nurses to help make the physicals possible. This event gave students a boost of confidence as they applied their classroom knowledge to the real world -- not to mention that they were responsible for assisting their peers.
Lastly, Buchtel received rave reviews from the Summa team who indicated the event was well organized and had the most attendees in comparison to other schools they've supported.
