The Summit County Historical Society is sponsoring a Youth Empowerment Summit on Feb. 17 from 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at Shaw JCC of Akron (750 White Pond Drive). The event is for students in grades 8-12 and will cover topics such as social justice, freedom and responsibility, and constructing identity. The summit is free, and lunch will be provided.
