First Energy and the Cleveland Cavaliers are encouraging reading in the latest chapter of their ongoing support of learning in Akron Public Schools. This week, at Pfeiffer Elementary, volunteers from both organizations are getting to know students and helping them choose two free books from the Scholastic Book Fair.
Pfeiffer Principal Pharon Hranko welcomed the visits, saying "Our students are excited to get a chance to choose books that they can call their own. Students could not wait to start reading their new books! Pfeiffer and its families want to thank First Energy and the Cavs for this generous program."
