Congratulations! Scholars from Buchtel, East, Ellet, Firestone, Garfield and North completed four days of peer mediation training and received certificates of completion from the CRU Institute. The scholars learned the entire mediation process, which includes communication and listening skills. During the process, scholars also learned how to account for diversity and culture when facilitating a mediation session.
Peer mediation training boxes with all materials including videos will be delivered to all eight high schools on Monday. CRU Institute facilitators will follow up with school program coordinators to provide additional support.
