The induction ceremony was in the school auditorium with more than 100 students and parents in attendance. The induction ceremony included the recognition of current officers, current members and an overview of the application process. Eighth-grade president Ella Kendrick addressed the NJHS members and reminded them of the important role they play in the school and community. Each member received a yellow carnation and an official NJHS certificate and pin. Seventh-grader Ruby Lemley was the pianist for the ceremony. Immediately following the ceremony, students and parents attended a punch and cookie social in the cafeteria. Teachers Megan Houk and Clara Dorum, who serve as the NJHS advisers, coordinated the ceremony.
