Visual Arts Instructor Alison Rich has brought us news that Miller South eighth-grader Nyeasha Kelley received national recognition for her photograph in the Scholastic Art Awards. Kelley, who took the photograph last year in art history class, received a silver medal for her work.
Alison tells us, "She was inspired by the photographer, Dorthea Lange, who is known for photographing people in their daily routines. She posed her younger brother for the photo, which is called "See Me."
