Positive behavior has its rewards at Akron Public Schools. In fact, the student ambassadors at Betty Jane CLC actually produced at PBIS Fair. That's a Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports Fair. The mission of this is to review with fellow students (in kindergarten through fifth grade) the rules and expectations of being a Betty Jane Owl. So, for those who are "caught" following the rules and meeting expectations, there is Hoot Loot. Dean of Students Darby Baumberger tells us the students can use Hoot Loot to purchase fun stuff, prizes if you will, from the PBIS Store at Betty Jane.
