Drive-Thru COVID-19 Booster Clinic

Summit County Public Health will again offer a drive-thru clinic for COVID- 19 vaccinations 9 a.m.-5 p.m. (tomorrow) Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at 1867 W. Market St. in Akron.

Appointments aren’t required. Both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccine will be offered, in accordance with CDC guidelines. If a line forms, the agency asks people to not stop on the railroad tracks.

Masks are required at all SCPH vaccination clinics.

Summit County Public Health will be offering Pfizer & Moderna second booster doses four or more months after the date of the first booster dose for individuals who:
  • are age 50 and up.
  • are age 12 and older (Pfizer) and 18 or older (Moderna) and moderately or severely immunocompromised.
  • received the Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen COVID-19 vaccine for their first shot and booster.
Earlier doses in the COVID-19 vaccine series also are available for Pfizer or Moderna, Summit County Public Health spokeswoman Marlene Martin said. The agency also offers weekday vaccine clinics by appointment at gettheshot.coronavirus. ohio.gov. The drive-up clinic is being added for convenience and due to demand, Martin said.

Retail pharmacies and doctors’ offices also have COVID-19 vaccines available. Check gettheshot. coronavirus.ohio.gov or providers’ websites for appointments.
