North High School's DECA Youth Philanthropy Group has awarded a $1,500 grant to Learning About Business Inc. for LAB Week 2022. The students participated in a Magnified Giving Program and were given funds to invest in the local nonprofit community. Funds were also donated from the North High School Based Enterprise. Magnified Giving's six-step curriculum educates students on the true meaning of philanthropy and the community's critical needs. LAB Week prepares students to become entrepreneurs. LAB conducts a one-week summer residential camp at Lake Erie College to teach students how businesses operate. Students who complete the program earn three college credit hours awarded by lake Erie College and fully transferable. The North DECA adviser is Eric Mathews.
