Dr. Rene Molenaur to Replace N.J. Akbar

Dr. Rene Molenaur is serving her first term with the Akron Board of Education (through December 31, 2023). She was selected to serve out the term of N.J. Akbar, who resigned. She received a B.S. in Education from Baldwin Wallace University, an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from The University of Akron, and a Ph.D. in Education Policy from Cleveland State University. Dr. Molenaur has been employed in Online Learning Services and as an educational leadership policy analyst, an adjunct instructor, an instructional coach, a curriculum specialist and a teacher (Bedford City and Highland Local school districts).
