Three schools made up of 16 teachers and tutors and one principal from Akron Public Schools showed strong representation at the Ohio Summit on Dyslexia Conference this weekend in Columbus! They were: Schumacher CLC (12), Harris Jackson CLC (3) and Leggett (1).
There were many nationally recognized speakers from across the country. Some highlights were sessions by Dr. Anita Archer, Dr. Pam Kastener, Dr. Melissa Farrall, Carolyn Turner, Dr. Rebecca Tolson and Janel Bowman. These speakers are all experts in literacy, teaching and learning based on the science of reading!
