Adults and children with special needs are invited to cast a line in Little Turtle Pond (2400 Harrington Road, Akron) at the Special Needs Fishing Derby Saturday, May 13, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Trophies will be awarded for the three largest fish caught!
This program is free and open to the public. Please bring fishing gear. A limited number of rods and reels will be available for use during the derby, and bait will be supplied. Visitors are encouraged to bring lunch if fishing the entire day.
The Special Needs Fishing Derby is presented by Wayside Furniture with support from Goodyear Hunting & Fishing Club and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
