Akron Congresswoman, and Akron Public Schools alum, Emilia Sykes personally invited APS students to attend the Akron Roundtable Luncheon last Friday at the John S. Knight Center.
Scholars from Ellet, Firestone and Garfield CLCs had the honor of speaking with her and sharing their future goals. At the luncheon, our students also had the opportunity to speak with Superintendent Christine Fowler Mack and Assistant Superintendent Tamea Caver.
A special thank-you to Stancy Sykes, Bianca Heard and Clayton Cundiff for their collaboration in ensuring that scholars attended the luncheon.
