Realm of the Reptile

The Akron Public Schools annual STEM EXPO drew hundreds to Ellet CLC this past weekend for demonstrations, exhibitions and competitions in vast areas of science, tech, engineering and math.

"Every year, Dr. Katrina Halasa tries to add a surprise element to the show," said APS Superintendent Christine Fowler Mack. "This year, she really DID bring quite a surprise!"

Marissa and Andrew Hall started their company, Realm of the Reptile, to educate and entertain a variety of audiences to the wonders of nature through a variety of creatures.

Marissa brought some of her friends to give EXPO visitors a hands-on experience. On the company website, the couple tells us that it has a background in biology and theater, which is merged for entertaining and educating audiences.

Marissa has appeared on the Discovery Channel as a "Snake Expert."
