The City of Akron has announced it will celebrate Buchtel's title win with a parade downtown on Sunday. The event is set to start at 2 p.m. on Main Street near Spaghetti Warehouse. It concludes when it reaches Bowery Street.
The parade is being held to recognize and celebrate the titles by Buchtel and Hoban from last weekend's Division I and II tournaments.
This is the first time multiple Akron boys' basketball teams have won a state championship in the same season.
