New Records Set at Meet

Image of Middle School Track Championship 2022The Middle School Track Championship was held at Ellet CLC on Wednesday evening. All six middle schools had outstanding performances throughout the competition. Litchfield CLC won the regular-season boys title while the East CLC Dragons claimed first place on the girls side. Congratulations to Dr. Morgan Green, boys' coach at Litchfield, and Sherri Shaub, girls' coach for East CLC. Several new electronic timing records were set by the following athletes:

Devonna Smith, Innes CLC, 200 meters 27.79 (girls)
Payton Cook, East CLC, 110 meter hurdles 16.38 (boys)
Payton Cook, East CLC, 200 meters 23.96 (boys)
Jramayne Williams, Jennings CLC, 1600 meters 5.22.55
Litchfield CLC 4x100 relay (boys) 45.60 (Stephens, Folk, Knight, Postway)

Thanks to all the officials, safety team members and great staff for making track a success this year. A special thanks to Colonel Urquhart and the Ellet JROTC cadets for going well beyond the call of duty while volunteering each week.
