The harvest you see was picked yesterday for Superintendent Christine Fowler Mack by students at North High School from their community garden. The superintendent visited the students yesterday at the garden, and they gave her some of what they have grown.
Mark Nicolino, a teacher at North, worked with the students on the project and said, "This was a valuable project for our students as part of their summer learning experience at what we call Cooperative Farms. I'm immensely proud of these kids. It has been an amazing experience for the students, families, community and our teachers who are involved in this effort. We have all learned and have grown right along with the produce!"
