Teachers Make the Difference

Academic research indicates that increasing opportunities to respond has several beneficial outcomes related to student engagement, academic outcomes, behavior and participation.

Students tend to be more engaged, thereby participating more in class, which leads to higher academic outcomes.

Last week, the staff at Schumacher CLC received a visit during their professional development from Assistant Superintendent Tamea Caver, Ph.D. Teachers are studying and focusing on increasing opportunities to respond for all students.

Instructional Specialist Saundra Kolar at Schumacher says, "Increasing these opportunities ensures equity, efficiency and effectiveness in instruction.
