Image of SPIRIT TeamsCongratulations to Akron Early College, Buchtel CLC, East CLC, Ellet CLC, Firestone CLC, Garfield CLC, North High School and STEM High School scholar-leadership teams for hosting their first SPIRIT Days (Student Problem Identification Resolution of Issues Together). The teams identify a problem in their building and develop plans to address the challenges. Each team has an adviser appointed by the principal and trained in person by Dion Lyons, Conciliation Specialist with the US Department of Justice. The next step is that teams will participate in The Voice Part I at 10 N. Main St on March 7. Teams will speed-interview APS department heads and community partners to understand how the adult leaders can assist with solving their buildings' challenges.
