Magnified Giving, an initiative that encourages and empowers students to make a positive impact in their communities, has once again exemplified its commitment to fostering philanthropy among young individuals.

“The goal of this Project Based Learning opportunity was to engage my students in philanthropy for our community. The mission of Leadership Akron emulates the leadership characteristics that I teach in my pathway and aligns with Akron Public Schools' Portrait of a Graduate,” said Eric Mathews, North High Entrepreneurship and Marketing instructor and DECA adviser.

"Akron is a small-knit community. The North High DECA Chapter is thrilled when given the opportunity to give back to our community. It is a pleasure donating to Leadership Akron because they contribute to the development of future leaders through community involvement and networking," said Rozi Yar, North High DECA president and school store manager.

Leadership Akron has been instrumental in developing and nurturing leaders who drive positive transformation in the Greater Akron area. Through a variety of programs, such as the Signature Program, Leadership Akron empowers individuals to understand the region's challenges and equips them with the skills and networks necessary to tackle these issues effectively.

This contribution will directly support Leadership Akron's efforts to provide leadership development opportunities to a diverse group of emerging and established leaders.

"We are profoundly grateful to the North High School DECA program for selecting Leadership Akron as the recipient of this generous gift," said Justin Hilton, president and CEO of Leadership Akron. "As a commUNITY organization entering its 40th year, this support will enable us to continue our mission of building a strong, inclusive and engaged community through the transformative impact of effectively equipped, empowered and impassioned leaders and change agents. We are excited about the opportunities this gift will create for our participants and the community we serve."

Magnified Giving's commitment to nurturing philanthropy among students aligns closely with Leadership Akron's values.
