CharacterStrong is a national SEL (Social Emotional Learning) platform used by educators. The CharacterStrong team came to Firestone CLC with cameras rolling to ask our scholars to assist in updating CharacterStrong's video library. Litchfield, Buchtel, North, Firestone and STEM (middle school) students assisted by adding voice to topics such as belonging, community, forgiveness and more. All are important contributors to the value of social emotional learning.
Filming lasted two days. We appreciate CharacterStrong featuring our scholars in their videos. The pictures shown here are Firestone students presenting the FISH award to a teacher. FISH stands for Friend, Inspiration, Support and Hero.
