Principal Llewellyn says the monthly evening get-together drew about 200 last night for dinner, prizes and fun conversations. This month's Family Night food was provided by members of the church choir at Zion Temple Baptist Church. "Our after-school coordinator/tutor/substitute teacher Raymond Hinton is a member of the church choir," said Llewellyn. Hinton, she told us, worked with other members of the Anointed Voices choir to provide the dinner for everyone while Seiberling staff and Akron Public Schools Superintendent Christine Fowler Mack assisted in food and beverage service.

Superintendent Fowler Mack said, "This is so wonderful, what Seiberling is doing for its students, their families and the community. This is their school, and they are including the community in what they do. I applaud Principal Llewellyn and her staff. The Owls are flying high!"

The principal concluded by telling us, "You'll notice a crockpot box in one of the photos. The Owls offered two to give away last night to the first person who could name 10 staff members at the school. Both prizes went quickly. Our families know us!"
