The Taste of Akron will be held on July 21 from 6-10 p.m. at Hardesty Park (1615 W. Market St.). Some of the area's restaurants will offer food samples. Patrons can enjoy samples of appetizers, entrees and desserts while listening to Jerri Sapronetti & Graham Murphy followed by Samantha Grace and her band. No pre-paid tickets are needed as guests will pay food vendors directly.

The Akron Arts Expo takes place July 23 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and July 24 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at Hardesty Park. This free event celebrates the creativity of more than 100 exhibitors from across the country and features live entertainment from popular local musicians. An interactive Children's Tent will have a selfie contest hosted by the Akron Children's Museum and a community art project coordinated through Arts LIFT (a summer art apprenticeship program offered to APS high school students by The University of Akron's Myers School of Art). The Arts LIFT final celebration will be on stage at the Expo at 2 p.m. on July 24. In addition, the Akron-Summit County Public Library will be on site with an interactive art project for children and families.
